TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
As this edition of our Flyer hits your mailbox, I hope that you are making good progress on your fall harvest. I know it has been a challenge for many of you…and getting this crop in the bin will be a welcome relief I’m sure. All but a few acres of the sugar beet crop are now harvested, so the challenge is harvesting the rest of the corn and soybean crop.
The good news is that this harvest pressure across the corn belt, combined with solid export demand, has rallied grain prices nicely over the last 60 days. Better prices, combined with price reductions in many of our key crop inputs, makes the prospects for 2010 crop much brighter. Now, we just have to work on beef demand!
We have just started sign-ups for the 2009-2010 PerforMax™ winter inspection program. Our “guarantee” of no-cost service calls or mileage charges during the next season of use, combined with proven up-time machine performance, has reinforced the value of this program over and over again. We are also offering a No Payment/No Interest program for our Preferred Farm Plan customers who participate in this program.
As you page through this edition of our Flyer, you will see some outstanding year-end sales programs that are featuring both significantly reduced pricing, as well as very low interest rates from John Deere Credit. We know many of you are focused on getting your crop out of the field, but we are aggressively trying to reduce our used equipment inventory before year-end. As such, we know to get your attention, we need to make our pricing very, very attractive. I think we have done that!!
Sales of the new 8R-series of row crop tractors continue to be very strong. Availability is stretched out to late spring for both wheel and track tractors (April, as of this writing), but we have several stock units arriving in time for spring field work. Also, a reminder that this is the last production tractor prior to the introduction of Interim Tier 4 engines in January 2011. If you are anticipating the purchase of a new 8R tractor for next spring, we can still meet that need from existing orders if you act now.
Finally, as we approach the holiday season, on behalf of all the employees at 21st Century Equipment, I want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving and Christmas season. And, in the fast pace of harvest, please keep safety in mind.
As always, a sincere thank you for your business this past year!
Sincerely,
Owen Palm
