    In September of 1937, Anderson Agee and his brother-in-law, William Humphrey, formed D.L. Gooch and Company. Their goal was to aid the farmers of Garvin County in their efforts to produce and distribute their crops by supplying farmers with top quality agricultural equipment and hardware supplies. Mr. John Long sold his business to them and they began selling the best product line available, John Deere. The original store was located in the building that sits on the corner of Chickasaw and Joy streets in downtown Pauls Valley. With the passing of Bill Humphrey in 1960, Anderson purchased Bill's share from his widow, Mamie and changed the name to Agee Equipment Company. The company's location has changed only once. In 1966, the Agees purchased the land and constructed the the current building. Through the years, several members of the next three generations that followed have worked in the business, bringing it to its current ability to serve its customers.
