We have been involved in the commercial sprayer business since John Deere's introduction of the Model 4700 in 1997. From that time through 2003, we were one of the 4 JD Dealers that sold these commercial sprayers in southern Minnesota. Beginning in 2004, John Deere changed it's approach towards this market. Ag Power is now responsible for John Deere's commercial sprayer business all across southern Minnesota, from the South Dakota border into the first tier of counties in western Wisconsin.
Our salesmen, Dave Baack and Donnie Schuster, are responsible for developing the sprayer market with all of the potential commercial sprayer customers in this area. In addition, we work with farmer customers in Ag Power's normal ag sales area. We have set up an affiliation with John Deere dealers in Mankato, Truman, and Worthington, Minnesota, and New Richmond and West Salem, Wisconsin to support the sales of these commercial sprayers to farm customers in this large sales area.
The products we are now selling in these markets - Model 4730, 4830 and 4930 John Deere commercial sprayers - are great performers. With 800 and 1200 gallon capacities and boom sizes up to 120 feet and an interchangeable dry box available on the 4920, these are really comfortable and productive machines.
