After a fire in 1961 that consumed the business and most of their hope they were grateful to become a John Deere dealer. From 1962 until 1973 the business operated out of Behlen building in Aberdeen Idaho on highway 39. Jim Christiansen was salesman, parts man, and setup guy with help from 2 or 3 mechanics. Times were different then.

In 1973 John Deere was anxious to consolidate, that lead to Jim buying the dealership in American Falls (12 miles away). He built a new building and began to work the area. John Hoybjerg, Jim’s son-in-law, joined the business in 1977 and assumed managerial responsibilities.
