Four Easy Steps of IVT™ Operation
STEP 1: Setting engine performance with the IVT Selector Control

The IVT Selector has five detent positions that allow the operator to set the performance levels of both the engine and the transmission to meet their application needs. The IVT Selector adjusts the engine speed and controls the amount of engine droop in relation to the ground speed.

Position 0: Off
No transmission/engine interaction. Operates similarly to PowrShift.

Position 1-3: Load Control Model
Maintains higher rpm and is best for PTO and hydraulic work.

Position 3-5: Economy Mode
Attains selected ground speed, then reduces rpms to save fuel.

STEP 2: Setting the speed ranges with the Speed Control Lever

The Speed Control Lever is used to command the speed of the tractor and can be set to a minimum speed of 164-ft./hr. at the bottom of speed band one, and up to 25 mph at the top of speed band two. There are two reference points (one seamless band) integrated in the travel of the Speed Control Lever, which give the operator two different speed ranges. The operator can use the infinitely adjustable Speedwheel on top of the Speed Control Lever to precisely set these speed ranges and adjust the ranges on-the-go.

STEP 3: Using the Left-Hand Multi-Function Lever

In addition to the benefits of an electronic left-hand reverser, the operator can set the speed ranges in scroll position (pictured) and shift the tractor into PowerZero™. When in scroll position, the in-board dash will scroll between speed ranges while the operator sets the desired speeds. When the operator moves the lever to the right side of the center position, the tractor is in PowerZero and will not move regardless of load or incline.

STEP 4: Using the Foot Brake with Integrated AutoClutch Function

The integrated AutoClutch function in the foot brake allows the operator to apply both brakes and slow the tractor to zero without killing the engine. The tractor can be stopped and started smoothly because braking is independent from travel speed or engine speed. This can be done under light or heavy loads on flat or steep slopes simply by using the brake pedals. The AutoClutch function is an ideal tool for loader work. Inching of the tractor for attaching implements can be carried out with just the brake pedal.
