Job Title: Service Administrator
Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager and Corporate Service Manager
Job Function:
Maintains
accurate and timely reporting, records relative to the service department’s
operation within the dealership. Assure that all charges related to work orders
are posted properly. Assures all work orders are closed on a timely basis.
Process warranty and Product Improvement Claims. Must conduct themselves in the
presence of customers in a manner that promotes a positive image of the
company.
Essential Duties:
- Open work orders as
directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintain control until
closed and invoiced.
- Handles warranty claims
including computation of charges, submission and follow-up.
- Maintains the service
library with information that is current. Files bulletins, manuals, video
tapes, etc. under the direct supervision of the Service Manager.
- Handles service
department filing and records.
- Updates customer
profiles using equipment, hours or other information from the customer
work orders.
- Maintains accessories
and supplies and prepares replacement orders for the Service Manager’s
approval.
- Prepares Service
Technician efficiency reports at least once a month.
- Complete other duties as
assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of office
procedures
- Good organizational
ability
- General understanding of
mechanical/technical terms is preferred but not required.
Education:
-College preferred
-High
School or GED equivalent mandatory
