Fisher Implement is Now Fisher Farm & Lawn

For more than 80 years, Fisher Implement Company has provided trusted service, industry expertise, and top-of-the-line equipment to homeowners, hobby farmers, and commercial farmers in the Willamette Valley. During these years, our product lines have expanded from tractors and implements to self-propelled farm equipment, and from sickles to lawn tractors. It is both fun to look back and exciting to look forward to the changes in our industry.

In recent years, we have come to realize that our business name, “Fisher Implement,” no longer communicates the full scope of our business, and today we are proud to announce to you that Fisher Implement Company is changing the names of its dealership locations to Fisher Farm & Lawn. Our new logo incorporates this new name and a graphic element that symbolizes growth. In everything we do—for our customers, our employees, and our communities—this Company is dedicated to growth.

Our irrigation business, Ernst Irrigation, will continue to function under its current business name, because it is a single location conducting a unique business. Additionally, we are pleased for the opportunity to honor the Ernst family name and heritage in this way.

This is an exciting time for our organization. As we prepare to face the future and the many opportunities that lay ahead, I want to thank you in advance for the trust that you will place in the employees and leadership of this tremendous organization.

    THE OREGONIAN REPORTS:

”High-tech changes the face of farmworkers”

The Oregonian reports that “technology is available to create a ‘prescription’ map of fields.” This description comes from Eric Wavra, Fisher Implement’s Precision Farm Specialist, who indicates that with GPS-guided tractors and precision farming equipment, farmers can virtually eliminate overlap and create custom applications in fertilizing. “That’s where these systems pay back very quickly,” he says.

When farmers ask Wavra what’s next in technology, he says he always replies, “’You tell me.’ All the farmers out here are a bunch of troubleshooters and test engineers—a giant think tank.”
