GRESHAM FISHER FARM & LAWN-OVER 60 YEARS OF "TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER"


Fisher Farm & Lawn's Gresham location has been meeting the agricultural equipment needs of the East Portland area since the early 1940s, when Elmer Sturm established the Farm Tractor Company. In 1947 he sold his company to Dwight and Dale Bergh, and three generations of the Bergh family operated the store as Bergh Machinery over the next fifty-two years.


Fisher Farm & Lawn was pleased purchase the store from George Bergh in 1999. “Bergh Equipment was all about taking care of the customer, so there were no real philosophy changes, just an opening up of new doors,” a company manager stated. George Bergh still comes in to work during the busy “Deere Season,” and his sons Shawn and Jason Bergh remain valued employees of the Company.
