Scott Thompson, Service Manager, Louisville

25 years farm and equipment business experience
Scott Thompson is Service Manager for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. He is a graduate of Nelson County High School and attended Sullivan College where he majored in business. An experienced mechanic, welder and fabricator, Scott is a factory trained technican that is now using these talents and this background to serve you as a committed and qualified Service Manager. He has passed 50 continuing education classes with John Deere University, including such classes as hydraulics systems overview, engine safety and maintenance, root cause failure analysis and engine-technical qualification. Scott is a true believer that customer service is our only business. He is a member of the Woodlawn Methodist Church. He lives in Bardstown.

Derek Smith, Lead Parts Person, Louisville

Lifetime of experience working on the farm
Derek Smith is Lead Parts Person at Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. He grew up in Caldwell County, Kentucky, doing ag mechanic work on the farm all of his life. Being that close to the Land Between the Lakes Area, he enjoys spending time outdoors. He enjoys camping, water sports, snowboarding, etc.

Jim Schmitt is a Sales Representative for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. Jim's experience includes 13 years in B to B and in-home sales for a multi-billion dollar home improvement industry. He has served in various capacities including sales manager, corporate trainer and representative responsible for recruiting, hiring and training sales professionals. His degrees include a Master of Arts in Teaching, B.S. in Psychology, B.A. in Chemistry and a B.A. in Musical Psychology. David Arnold is a Sales Representative for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. David has 20 years of agriculture experience which includes 7 years with John Deere Ag Equipment. He has a small farm in Breckinridge County and raises quarter horses. David is a certified Kentucky Firefighter and is an American Heart Association BLS Instructor. Ernie Coomes is a Sales Representative for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. Ernie is a native of Bardstown and now resides in Mt. Washington. Doug Robb is a Sales Representative for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. He has 28 years of experience with equipment sales, parts and service experience.

Doug and his wife Beth are the proud parents of two children, Samantha and Michael. The family attends Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Middletown and are very active there. Doug and Beth met in the horse business. Beth's family raised Quarter Horses and Doug's family raised Arabians. Doug is excited to be working at Hartland Equipment to help our customers grow their dreams.

Tommy Hardin is the Lead Service Service Technician at Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. He is one of the best known and most respected technicians in all of Kentuckiana. He is a John Deere Factory Trained Technician ready to serve your needs. Tommy was raised on a farm and enjoys tractor pulling. He is a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Spencer County where he teaches Sunday School and also serves as a Deacon.

Aaron Redden, Service Technician, Louisville

He has always enjoyed working on motors. He started working on engines when he was in 4H. A graduate of Bullitt Central, he was a member of FFA. He took welding classes in vocational school with an additional 60 hours of night school in welding. During all of these experiences, he had the opportunity to operate big equipment as well as work on them. He also enjoys drag racing. His biggest race was in St. Louis in the Mobil 1 Ford Challenge where he came in 8th place in the world.

Ricky and his wife Kathy are the proud parents of Lorelei. They live in Mt. Washington and are members of the River View Baptist Church.

Michael Jobe, Parts Associate

Michael Jobe is a Parts Associate for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and raised in Bullitt County, Kentucky. Raised on a farm, he has always been involved in agriculture activities (everything from baling hay to raising tobacco). He enjoys racing dirt bikes and riding horses. He is Stihl Certified and has training in Stihl Equipment and Parts. Michael is a graduate of Bullitt Central High school where he excelled with top honors in business.

Bobby Brown, Truck Driver, Louisville
Bobby is the Truck Driver for Hartland Equipment's John Deere Superstore in Louisville. Bobby has lived within 2 miles of Hartland Equipment all of his life. He has a farm and raises beef cattle. He owned and drove a school bus for 45 years.

Bobby and his wife Wanda Brown have been married for 22 years and they have four children and five grandchildren.
