McKennon Implement Company is a family business that has served the equipment needs of local farmers for over 65 years. The Company was established in 1937 when Claude and Joe Lee McKennon took on the John Deere dealership as a sideline to their ginning and planting company. Claude McKennon's grandson, Tommy Shea, joined the firm in 1949 and assumed ownership in 1976. His sons, Ken and Bill Shea operated the business with him until his death in 1992. In 1994, the brothers expanded their operation by acquiring Valley Implement Company, the John Deere dealership in McGehee, AR.

McKennon Implement Company has survived and prospered by adapting to the changing needs of the people who farm the land. In the early years, the Company supplied plows and wagons to the men who followed mule teams through the fields. Today, it provides high technology equipment to the world's most efficient and productive farmers. Solid. Stable. Still John Deere.
