Pender Implement Showroom Remodel!
Pender Implement just received its own Extreme Home Makeover with the renovation of its showroom. Although it took MUCH longer than 7 days to complete the project, the result is a drastically new look! F.A.R.M. Manufacturing, with the help of Zvacek Construction and Renz Electric, spent the Winter months hammering away. The new features of the showroom include a vaulted ceiling, display room, a new business office, new offices for both Parts Manager Matt Heineman and Owner Russ Allen, and a large amount of display space on the showroom floor. The additional space has allowed us to expand our inventory of John Deere Licensed Brand products including toys, boots, and clothes! We've also pulled some of our most popular models of John Deere ride-on equipment into the showroom for you to browse through while you're here! Stop in today to see for yourself!
John Deere World Headquarters
The Deere & Company World Headquarters is a tribute to the genius of two craftsmen who lived and worked a century apart. John Deere and Eero Saarinen, the Finnish-American architect who designed the building, both created masterpieces in steel. Deere used steel to forge the plow that tamed the prairie; Saarinen used it to build a structure that reflected the character of the company that bears Deere's name. A great summer vacation in Moline, Illinois would make farmers young and old happy. The best part is that to visit, there is no fee! If you are interested, the address is John Deere World Headquarters, One John Deere Place, Moline, IL 61265. Phone Number: (309) 765-8000. Display Floor Hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. John Deere Collectors Center
If you are planning to be in Moline, Illinois anytime soon, make a pit stop at the John Deere Collectors Center. The John Deere Collectors Center is the premier association for enthusiasts interested in the history and heritage of John Deere, and the collecting of early John Deere tractors, equipment and memorabilia. Visitors can watch restorations in progress, view displays of vintage John Deere tractors and equipment or visit the Center's customer service counter for information about parts, repairs and restorations, and reference materials. The Collectors Center retail store offers a variety of John Deere gifts and merchandise. Collectors Center History: The historic Italianate style building that is home to the John Deere Collectors Center was originally built in 1885 by the Davis brothers. When completed, the building provided early water power to the cities of Moline and Rock Island. The basement boiler and pump room converted Mississippi River water into electricity for these two cities. This was later converted to gas and electricity services. The John Deere Foundation purchased the building in July of 2000. After finalizing the plans for restoration, reconstruction of the building began the following month. Nearly one year later, in July of 2001, the John Deere Collectors Center opened it's doors to the public. The seven iron pillars still standing on the south side of the building were part of the building's original loading dock. Address Collectors Center 320 16th Street Moline, Illinois 61265 Ph.
