John Deere Dealerships Merge To Offer Superior Customer Service
|
| DUNN, NC – D&L Equipment, Inc. of Roxboro, E&E Equipment Co., Inc. of Henderson, Harnett Tractor Company, Inc., of Dunn, Revel’s Tractor Company, Inc. of Fuquay-Varina and Raleigh, and Quality Farm Equipment, Inc. of Clinton, Goldsboro, and Wallace have merged their agricultural, commercial and consumer equipment companies. The new company is named Quality Equipment, LLC.
The merger was effective November 1, 2007. Quality Equipment, LLC will operate John Deere and allied equipment dealerships in Clinton, Dunn, Fuquay-Varina, Goldsboro, Henderson, Raleigh, Roxboro, and Wallace, North Carolina.
Each sales branch will be fully staffed with factory trained personnel dedicated to determining customer needs and exceeding customer expectations. All existing employees of the founding companies will continue their careers with Quality Equipment, LLC. Additional job responsibilities will be added to current employees and additional, specialized positions will be created. Quality Equipment, LLC currently has 163 employees.
To allow the sales branches to concentrate on customer service and to take advantage of economies of scale, administrative and accounting functions will be centralized and managed at the corporate headquarters. Quality Equipment, LLC will be headquartered in Fuquay-Varina-the geographic center of the organization.
Quality Equipment, LLC will be governed by a seven member Board of Directors. The members of the Board are James Dunnagan, of Durham, Tommy Ellington, of Henderson, James Howard, of Deep Run, John Howard, of Deep Run, Bill Lane, of Goldsboro, Donnie Lewis, of Dunn, and Turner Revels, of Fuquay-Varina.
Tommy Ellington was elected Board Chairman.
Greg Morgan, of Clinton, is Chief Executive Officer.
Darren Havens, Division Manager for John Deere Company of Conyers, Georgia, said, “John Deere is excited about bringing together the strengths of these individual organizations and anticipates continued improvement from this more capable organization.”
