SCHAFFTER EQUIPMENT COMPANY INCORPORATED
Schaffter Equipment was started in1962 with Glenn Schaffter as the owner and 2 employees. Over the years it grew to 12 employees and the facility was built onto several times. In 1981 with Mike Schaffter entering into the business a new facility was constructed and finished in 1982. In the spring of 1983 Schaffter Eq. moved into its present facility at 31217 Hwy. 5 South. In 1987 Glenn unexpectedly passed away and Mike took over as president. In 1995 the John Deere dealership at Versailles was purchased from I.A. Wenger. The dealerships have grown to 31 employees and 2 locations. Schaffter Equipment handles John Deere, Schulte, Westfield, Great Plains, Danuser, Westendorf, H&S hay products, KMC, and Sovema. We carry parts for all makes of equipment. We work on all brands of equipment, lawn equipment and atv's. We look forward to servicing and meeting you in the near future.
